Last year it was jumping out of a plane, this year it’s abseiling from the top of the new ASB theatre in Marlborough…yes it’s time for Drop Your Boss 2016, and we’re delighted to get behind this great cause again.

Kiwis Can

SWE is proud to help raise money for local children by taking part in the Drop Your Boss challenge again in 2016. Drop Your Boss is organised by the Graeme Dingle Foundation (formerly FYD) for the Kiwi Can programme which helps teach children about respect, resilience, independence and integrity through weekly lessons.

In 2016, three more Marlborough schools are keen to join Kiwi Can, which is testament to the programme’s popularity and success, and would mean that 40% of all school-age children in Marlborough are taking part. But it all costs money.

The Big Drop

The big drop is taking place next Friday as a culmination of the New Zealand Winegrowers’ Romeo Bragato conference, the largest get-together of winemakers and grapegrowers in New Zealand. If you’d like to help SWE’s Stephen Leitch raise money for this fantastic cause – please visit his Givealittle page. Or get in behind one of the other (mostly willing, if slightly apprehensive!) local bosses on the Marlborough ‘team’ Givealittle page.

Check out this video as Stephen and other Marlborough bosses contemplate the distance they’ll be dropping…

“The dizzying heights never get less daunting, but I do love getting behind a good cause like this.”
